The closing ceremony starts at about 7.30 pm in the presence of several important partners of the competition : the Mayor of Castelnaudary, M MAUGARD, the president of the community of communes Castelnaudary Lauragais Audois, M. GREFFIER, the vice-president of the FFE, Pierre LEBLIC the president of the Occitanie Chess League, Mrs Laurie Delorme, the president of the social handicap health commission, Franck Droin and Jérôme REBOUL from MUTUALIA our main sponsor and Mr Guy Spanghero owner of the IBIS Style hotel who accommodated us all week.
The organisers thanked all the partners and then the floor was given to the president of the IBCA who also thanked the participants in these championships. The message of Bernard DUTHOIT, the president of AEPA, the main organiser, and prevented by the COVID, was read by the secretary of AEPA, Clémentine KRUK.
Laurie Delorme congratulated all the participants and Franck Droin announced the launch of the FFE campaign for developing chess practice amongst disabled persons.
Then comes the expected moment of the prize giving by Stephen BOYD the main referee.
